Tehran - BORNA - Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei condemned the escalation of US military movements near Venezuela’s coasts, describing them as a blatant violation of the principles and purposes of the UN Charter, particularly the prohibition of the use or threat of force in international relations.
Baghaei denounced Washington’s repeated attacks on fishing boats and its explicit threats of military intervention against Venezuela as illegal and provocative actions.
He also underscored the responsibility of the UN Security Council to prevent any aggression that threatens international peace and security.
