At the beginning of the meeting, the Foreign Ministry Spokesperson congratulated the arrival of Journalist's Day and added: This year, we mourn the journalists who were martyred in the region, including in Gaza, as well as in the Zionist regime's attack on Iran.
Inaction of international institutions against the crimes of the Zionist regime continues
Baghaei also said in his opening remarks: One of the most important issues in the international arena is the continuation of the Zionist regime's genocide in Gaza, and unfortunately, the inaction of international institutions against this crime continues.
First Vice President to Visit Turkmenistan
Referring to the President's recent visit to Pakistan and describing it as important, the Foreign Ministry Spokesperson said: Today, the First Vice President will visit Turkmenistan as well.
In another part of his speech, the Foreign Ministry Spokesperson also said in response to a question about the First Vice President's visit to Turkmenistan: The First Vice President's visit to Turkmenistan is to participate in the Landlocked Developing Countries Summit.
He added: This is the third summit that the United Nations is holding on this issue. Of the 32 landlocked countries, eight are neighboring Iran and in contact with Iran, and seven of its countries are members of the ECO organization.
The Foreign Ministry spokesman said: The meeting is expected to set a 10-year development plan for landlocked developing countries.
Baghaei also stated: On the sidelines of this meeting, Mr. Aref will meet and consult with a number of his counterparts. Also, on the sidelines of this meeting, a meeting of ECO countries’ transport ministers will be held under the chairmanship of the Iranian Minister of Roads and Urban Development.
Currently, there are no IAEA inspectors present in Iran
In response to a question stating that “currently, there are no IAEA inspectors present in Iran,” Baghaei stated: Naturally, Iran’s cooperation with the Agency must be regulated in accordance with the latest resolution of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, and the government and the Foreign Ministry consider themselves obligated to regulate their interactions with the Agency based on this resolution.
He also stated that "we have made our complaints and objections to the agency's politicized performance very clear and repeated times," adding: "We are still a party to treaties such as the Non-Proliferation Treaty, and Iran, as a responsible country, adheres to the relevant documents as long as it is a party to these treaties."
