The Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman stated that "the level of our exchanges with the IAEA has changed after recent events," and said: Our relationship with the IAEA is direct.

Tehran - BORNA - During his weekly presser, Esmaeil Baghaei, the spokesperson for Iran's foreing ministry, reffered to the Zionist regime's decision to completely occupy Gaza and forcibly relocate the people of Gaza in the opening part of his speech and said: "This decision was met with a reaction from the international community, but unfortunately, due to the Zionist regime's support for the United States and its assurance of continued impunity for this crime, these crimes continue."

He also mentioned the holding of a meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation Foreign Ministers on the issue of Gaza and Palestine next week.

The German, French, and British embassies in Tehran have not been closed

In response to a question about some of the news published about the closure of foreign embassies in Tehran, including those of Germany, France, and Britain, the Foreign Ministry spokesman said: "This news has been made two weeks ago, and yesterday, after the news of the farewell of the German ambassador to Tehran was published, this issue was raised more.

He added: "This news has been raised in order to incite inflammation in society, and none of the three embassies in Tehran have been closed."

Baghaei continued: Some embassies in Tehran reduced some of their activities during the war, limited their consular section, but this does not and has not been the case, and all three embassies named are open.

The Foreign Ministry spokesman continued: Some embassies are engaged in a series of developments in the consular area, so the published news is not true.

The Zionist regime knows no bounds in its expansionism

The Foreign Ministry spokesman also said about the statements of the Prime Minister of the Zionist regime regarding the issue of Greater Israel: For the countries of the region, more than ever, the nature of the Zionist regime's dominance has been clarified, and as we saw, the Prime Minister of the Zionist regime stated in his speech that he considers himself responsible for realizing the idea of Greater Israel.

He continued: The idea of forming a Greater Israel includes a significant part of Islamic lands, and these words show that the Zionist regime knows no bounds in its expansionism, despite the optimism that the Abrahamic Plan would create a kind of peaceful coexistence in the region.

Stating that "these statements have alerted the countries of the region in advance," he said: "The countries of the region must pay attention to the fact that if the expansionism of the Zionist regime is not curbed, our region will face endless wars."

The level of our exchanges with the IAEA has changed after recent events

In response to a question about the relationship between Iran and the IAEA and whether Tehran's interactions with the Director General of this institution have changed to indirect ones, Baghaei said: No. Our communications with the IAEA are established, and last week the Deputy Director General of the IAEA visited Tehran.

He added: The level of our exchanges has changed after recent events, but our relationship is direct. Last week, we had discussions to develop a manual on how to interact with the IAEA. Our mission in Vienna is also in direct and continuous contact with the Agency.

We welcome any initiative that is taken to end the war and conflict in Ukraine

The Foreign Ministry spokesperson also said in response to a question regarding the peace talks regarding Ukraine and the recent meeting between the presidents of Russia and the United States in this regard: We welcome any initiative that is taken to end the war and conflict in Ukraine. From the very beginning of these conflicts, we said that the differences should be resolved peacefully, and in these years, we have encouraged the parties to move in this direction.

He emphasized: Any country that has a responsible view of international developments welcomes peace initiatives.

Baghaei continued: Of course, the United States, as a party that has a very bad record in international negotiations, must struggle and make a lot of effort to gain the trust of the opposing parties.

We will take whatever action is necessary to protect our borders

In response to a question about the possible presence of some Turkish and NATO forces near Iran's borders, Baghaei said: "We have always said that we consider the presence of extra-regional and foreign forces in our region, including the Caucasus and other regions, harmful to the stability and security of the region."

He added: "The presence of NATO forces in the region has been proven to be destabilizing. We are closely monitoring developments in protecting our borders and will take whatever action is necessary to protect our borders."
