A regional consensus is forming against the Zionist regime
In another part of his speech at the press conference, Baghaei also emphasized in response to a question: With each passing day, the countries of the region are increasingly coming to the conclusion that the real and immediate threat to peace and security in the world and the region is the Zionist regime, and the gathering of countries in Doha showed that this is a common concern between the countries of the region and the Islamic world.
He added: We are witnessing that a regional consensus is forming that joint action must be taken to confront the Zionist regime's warmongering, of course without the interference of extra-regional governments.
US restrictions against the Iranian delegation are unprecedented
In response to a question, the Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman stated that the restrictions imposed on the Iranian delegation to participate in the UN General Assembly are not new, but "these restrictions are unprecedented," and continued: These restrictions clearly contradict the US commitments as the host of the UN.
Baghaei continued: Regarding visas, as far as I am aware and have learned, a number of visas have been issued and we are waiting to obtain more detailed information from our country's missions in Geneva and New York to decide on the composition of the delegation.

In response to the US position on the draft resolution proposed by Iran at the IAEA General Conference, Baghaei said: This resolution is nothing more than a re-emphasis on a well-known rule of international law; a rule that emphasizes the prohibition of attacking peaceful nuclear facilities of countries and has been clarified in documents such as IAEA Resolution 533. Therefore, Iran’s proposal did not mean establishing a new rule.
He added: “Our expectation was and is that member states, realizing the dangers of the US and the Zionist regime’s violation of the law, would vote to ratify this resolution. However, the US has threatened that if it is ratified, it will take punitive measures against the IAEA.”
The Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman noted: These threats are a continuation of the recent approach of the United States, which has threatened or withdrawn from many international organizations, including the International Criminal Court, the World Health Organization, and UNESCO. This is a sign of an unprecedented threat against multilateralism and the structures and rules that have been the basis of international relations for the past 80 years.
He emphasized: All countries should feel threatened by this approach and try to prevent violations of the recognized rules of international law in the field of prohibition of the use of force.
Iran is not going to back down from its positions under illegal pressure from the West

The Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman, referring to the process of indirect talks between Iran and the United States in recent months and the possibility of Qatar’s mediation in this regard, said: “Since the beginning of these talks, especially during the past two months, various countries, mainly at the regional level, have used their capacities and efforts to facilitate this process.” We have always appreciated the countries that, with a sense of responsibility and concern for the security and stability of the region, tried to play a positive role in this direction.

The Foreign Ministry spokesman also said in response to a question regarding the US attacks on some Venezuelan fishing boats under the pretext of combating drug trafficking, as well as the statements of some US officials that they do not recognize the current Venezuelan government, "What is happening in the Caribbean is part of the unilateral and belligerent process that the US is pursuing in the international arena in violation of international law. The US military campaign against Venezuela is a violation of international law, and there is no justification for US threats against an independent country."

Referring to the recent consultations between Iranian and Venezuelan officials, the Foreign Ministry spokesman said: "We expressed solidarity with Venezuelan officials in these consultations and condemned the threats against this country."
