The weeklong tournament, hosted in Ford, Norway, concluded on Saturday evening with the men’s heavyweight events, where Team Iran was officially crowned world team champion for the first time since 2017.

Iran’s eight-member delegation delivered consistent, high-level performances throughout the competition. The national roster included:
Abdollah Beiranvand (79 kg), Eilia Salehipour (88 kg), Ali Alipour and Alireza Moeini (94 kg), Alireza Nasiri and Abolfazl Zare (110 kg), Ali Davoudi, and Ayat Sharifi (super-heavyweight).

Among the standout performances, Alireza Moeini won gold in the snatch and silver in total, while Ali Alipour earned silver in the snatch. Alireza Nasiri added two silver medals in the clean & jerk and total categories.

In the super-heavyweight division, Ali Davoudi’s bronze medal in the snatch sealed Iran’s overall team victory, while Ayat Sharifi withdrew from competition.

With a cumulative 388 points, Iran secured the team world title, breaking an eight-year drought since its last championship win in 2017.
