Tehran - BORNA - As one of the most vital refining hubs in Iran, the Isfahan Oil Refinery is undergoing a significant transformation through the implementation of advanced quality-upgrade projects and the development of cutting-edge process units.
The refinery plays a pivotal role in increasing the production of high-value fuels, reducing environmental pollutants, and ensuring a sustainable energy supply for the country. Key projects currently underway include the launch of the Residue Fluid Catalytic Cracking (RFCC) unit, hydrogen production facilities, LPG and naphtha treatment, light product separation, and major diesel desulfurization units.
Despite international sanctions, these projects are being executed by relying on the expertise of Iranian engineers and domestic companies. The primary goal of this extensive development at the Isfahan Oil Refinery is to provide the public with gasoline and diesel that meet the highest modern international standards, including the production of sulfur-free fuels.
The following photo report offers a glimpse into the industrial grandeur, the technical complexity of the new units, and the tireless efforts of the workforce driving this strategic energy project forward.
