Iran Addresses Letter to Grossi Following Trump’s Recent Rhetoric

Tehran - BORNA - Following the recent rhetoric by Donald Trump against Iran, the Permanent Mission of Iran to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) warned the Director General of the severe consequences these threats pose to the global non-proliferation regime.

The Permanent Mission announced on the social media platform X that the normalization of such threats jeopardizes the credibility of the IAEA and undermines the international trust built upon verification processes.

"Such reckless actions must be condemned, and the perpetrators must be held accountable," the message stated.

In this letter, Iran has called on Rafael Grossi to act within the framework of the Agency's legal duties to seriously and explicitly oppose and condemn any threats or attacks against peaceful nuclear facilities. Iran also urged the Director General to take action to safeguard the impartiality and credibility of the Agency in the face of blatant intimidation and threats against the legitimate nuclear activities of a member state.
