The Iranian women’s national volleyball team has achieved a historic milestone by winning the country’s first-ever gold medal in women’s volleyball after 62 years of competition. The team triumphed at the 2025 Central Asian Women’s Volleyball Championship, which concluded on Sunday in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.

Iran’s women’s volleyball team defeated Kyrgyzstan 3-0 (25-12, 25-18, 25-13) at the Central Asian Volleyball Association (CAVA) Women’s Volleyball Challenge Cup on Wednesday.

Iran’s women’s national volleyball team has departed for Tashkent to compete in the Central Asian Volleyball Association (CAVA) Nations League, a regional tournament carrying ranking points in the FIVB global system.
