President Pezeshkian departs New York for Tehran

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian left New York for Tehran after attending and delivering a speech at the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly, as well as holding meetings with nine heads of state and international officials.

Tehran - BORNA - Pezeshkian, who had traveled to New York on Tuesday, September 23, to take part in the UN General Assembly, returned after outlining the positions of the Islamic Republic of Iran in his address and engaging in several bilateral meetings.

During his stay, the president met with the presidents of France, Switzerland, Finland, Bolivia, and Iraq, the prime minister of Norway, the crown prince of Kuwait, the UN Secretary-General, and the president of the European Council.

Pezeshkian also held meetings with members of American think tanks and editors of U.S. media outlets, as well as anti-war activists, intellectuals, and a group of Iranian expatriates.
