Tehran - BORNA - Hamas announced on Sunday that several media outlets and news platforms had circulated false reports attributed to an alleged source within the movement, claiming that Hamas had agreed to a gradual handover of its weapons under international monitoring. The movement firmly rejected these reports as baseless and fabricated.
In its official statement, Hamas emphasized: “We reaffirm that all official statements and positions of the movement are exclusively published through Hamas’ official website and its verified Telegram channel.” The movement called on all media organizations to verify information directly through its official communication platforms before publication.
Earlier, the Al-Arabiya and Al-Hadath networks had falsely claimed that Hamas had agreed to transfer its weapons to a joint Palestinian–Egyptian body under international supervision.
Hamas reiterated that such claims aim to distort its principled stance and sow confusion in the public discourse. The movement reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to the path of resistance until the liberation of Palestinian land and the defense of its people’s legitimate rights.
