According to BORNA, citing Reuters, the U.S. Navy released a statement confirming that all crew members involved in two separate operational mishaps were safely recovered. The accidents involved an F/A-18 Super Hornet and an MH-60R Sea Hawk helicopter, with no fatalities or serious injuries reported.
The Navy confirmed that the incidents occurred while the aircraft were conducting flight operations from the USS Nimitz aircraft carrier in the South China Sea.
The statement stressed that there was no indication of any hostile action or enemy engagement causing the accidents. Aviation safety teams have been dispatched to the respective areas to investigate the technical conditions of the flights and examine the wreckage.
Recovery operations for the crashed aircraft debris at the respective locations are currently underway.
