U.S. President Donald Trump sparked fresh controversy on Sunday after posting highly unusual non-political content on social media, including one post thanking himself and calling the American people "ungrateful," and another offering baseless medical advice.

Tehran - BORNA - The 79-year-old U.S. President first posted a picture of himself walking on the White House lawn, in which he appeared dejected and unhappy, holding a red "Make America Great Again" cap in his left hand with his tie loosened.

In the text superimposed on the image, Trump called his own countrymen ungrateful, stating: "I want to thank Donald Trump who worked like a dog for no salary to save a country that is UNGRATEFUL for his sacrifice! Thank you, Mr. President!" A sentence above this read: "Thank you. Great progress being made for America!"

Controversies: Tariffs and Baseless Medical Advice

The self-congratulatory post came just one day after the U.S. President imposed new 10% commercial tariffs against Canada, protesting an advertising video released by the provincial government of Ontario. The video quoted former U.S. President Ronald Reagan saying that "tariffs hurt every American worker and consumer." Trump denounced the video, which was an edited portion of a 1987 Reagan speech, as "fraudulent," claiming Canada had disgraced itself.

Later on Sunday, while traveling to Malaysia for the ASEAN summit, Trump ignited another controversy by intervening in medical fields unrelated to his expertise, offering scientifically baseless health advice to pregnant women and concerning childhood vaccinations.

Repeating his previous claims about the dangers of the drug Tylenol (Acetaminophen) for pregnant women, he wrote: "Pregnant women, do not use Tylenol unless absolutely necessary. Do not give Tylenol to young children for any reason."

The U.S. President continued his baseless medical recommendations regarding the administration of the MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccine: "Give the MMR vaccine in three totally separate shots (Do NOT combine!). Give the Chickenpox vaccine separately, and the Hepatitis B vaccine at age 12 or older. Most importantly, get the vaccine over 5 separate visits to the doctor! President Donald J. Trump!"

This post reiterated a claim he made exactly a month prior, where he and his Health Secretary, Robert F. Kennedy, claimed that Tylenol use was linked to an increase in autism among children, citing a right-wing website called The Daily Caller.

Trump's claims about Tylenol's dangers have been refuted by virtually all major governmental and health organizations. The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists specifically emphasized that the drug is the only safe pain reliever pregnant women can use.
