Tehran - BORNA - Seyed Abbas Araghchi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, addressed issues related to Iran's foreign policy as well as regional matters in an interview with a Qatari media outlet on Saturday.
Araghchi, who spoke with Al Jazeera network, stated: "We are ready for all eventualities and anticipate any aggressive encounter by the Zionist regime. We are at the highest level of readiness at all levels, and Israel will suffer another defeat in any future war."
He added: "We gained significant experience from the previous war and tested our missiles in a real battle. If the Zionist regime carries out any aggressive action, the consequences will be severe for it."
We Prevented the War from Expanding in the Region
He further emphasized: "Israel tried to expand the war to the region by targeting our oil facilities. We managed the war with Israel well and prevented its expansion in the region."
The Iranian Foreign Minister also stressed that "the Israeli regime would not have waged a war against Iran without the green light from the United States," adding: "Benjamin Netanyahu, the Prime Minister of this regime, is a war criminal and proved to the region that Israel is its true enemy."
US Raised Unacceptable and Impossible Conditions
In another part of the interview, Araghchi addressed the nuclear program and negotiations, saying: "We are ready to negotiate to alleviate concerns about our nuclear program, and we are confident in its peaceful nature."
The Iranian Foreign Minister added: "It is possible to reach a fair agreement, but Washington raised unacceptable and impossible conditions. We will never negotiate about our missile program, and no sane person accepts disarming themselves."
He stressed: "We cannot stop uranium enrichment, and what was not achieved by war will not be achieved by politics. We have no desire for direct negotiations with Washington, but we can reach an agreement for indirect negotiations."
Nuclear Technology Remains Intact
He further emphasized in the conversation: "The nuclear materials are still under the rubble of the nuclear facilities that were bombed and were not transferred to another location. We suffered damage at the level of buildings and nuclear devices, but the technology remains intact."
We Support Syria's Independence and Territorial Integrity
Araghchi referred to the Europeans' activation of the Snapback mechanism, saying: "The activation of Snapback by the Europeans is illegal, and there is no international consensus on sanctions against us."
The Iranian Foreign Minister stressed: "Our priority is to strengthen relations with neighboring countries, and we are ready for engagement with the West without dictates."
The high-ranking diplomat of the Islamic Republic of Iran concluded by referring to the issue of Syria, saying: "We support Syria's independence and territorial integrity and condemn Israel's aggression against it."
