China's Foreign Ministry on Thursday condemned unilateral actions taken by Western countries against Iran, China, and Russia, declaring them to be inconsistent with the principles of the United Nations Charter.

Tehran - BORNA - Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Lin Jian addressed the dangers posed by unilateral measures, including those applied by some countries against nations like Iran, China, and Russia in recent years. Lin stated unequivocally that these unilateral actions fundamentally contradict the purposes and principles of the UN Charter, actively undermining multilateralism and the very foundations of the rule of law at the international level.

He emphasized that such measures severely violate fundamental human rights, specifically citing the right to life and the right to development. Furthermore, he noted that these coercive acts hinder global cooperation necessary for advancing the United Nations' 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

Lin stressed that China vehemently opposes unilateral coercive measures and called upon the international community to strengthen unity and collaboration. He urged nations to jointly resist unilateralism, support the international system centered on the United Nations and the international order based on international law, and work toward promoting more just and reasonable global governance.
