Tehran - BORNA - The MoU was inked between Tehran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture (TCCIMA) and Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) in line with expanding cooperation in the fields of trade and economy.
The signing ceremony was attended by the chairman of Tehran Chamber of Commerce, Japan’s envoy to Tehran and Deputy Foreign Ministry for the Economic Diplomacy Affairs and the two sides agreed to develop bilateral cooperation in the economic field in post-sanctions period.
In addition, the Iranian and Japanese trade officials emphasized strengthening the economic diplomacy and expanding cooperation in non-sanctioned areas.
Under the agreement, the two sides were committed to cooperating in the field of dispatching and admitting trade delegations, and holding joint training courses to expand trade exchanges between Iranian and Japanese economic activists.
Chairman of Tehran Chamber of Commerce Mahmoud Najafiarab, for his part, pointed to the age-old and longstanding trade-economic relations between Iran and Japan, describing the MoU a giant stride towards developing bilateral economic ties.
He called on the Japanese private sectors to seize the opportunity of enhancing and boosting trade-economic cooperation with the Iranian sides.
