Ali Akbar Velayati, the Secretary-General of the World Assembly of Islamic Awakening, stated that the enemies of the Islamic Republic committed a "fatal miscalculation" regarding Iran’s military capabilities, a fact that was proven during the recent 12-day conflict.

Tehran - BORNA - In a message delivered to a specialized session focused on "Explaining Narratives and Responding to Ambiguities Regarding the 12-Day War," held on the occasion of the 6th anniversary of General Qasem Soleimani’s martyrdom, Velayati highlighted the failure of the Zionist-American project to destabilize Iran.

The Failure of the "Leadership Vacuum" Dream

Velayati praised the "bravery and intelligent measures" taken by the country’s leadership, noting that these actions not only preserved national unity and social hope but also completely nullified the enemy's dream of creating a "leadership vacuum" in Iran. He emphasized that the effective presence of all pillars of the Islamic Republic in the field was a decisive factor in this victory.

Fundamental Shift in the Balance of Power

"The enemy made a grave error in estimating the military power of the Islamic Republic of Iran," Velayati asserted in his message. He pointed out that the successful penetration of Iran’s precision-guided missiles through multiple layers of advanced air defense systems—hitting sensitive targets in the occupied territories and even U.S. bases in the region—demonstrated a "fundamental shift in the balance of power."

According to Velayati, it was this undeniable reality on the battlefield that "forced the enemy to beg for a ceasefire."

The Social and Identity Crisis of the Zionist Regime

The Secretary-General of the World Assembly of Islamic Awakening noted that the 12-day war became a unique scene of unity among Iran's diverse ethnicities and generations. This social capital, he argued, will serve as the foundation for the country’s sustainable progress.

He contrasted Iran's internal cohesion with the deteriorating state of the Zionist regime: "Today, the Zionist enemy and its supporters admit that their decades-long plans and maneuvers have been washed away. Heavy economic losses, an intensifying identity crisis in the occupied territories, an increase in reverse migration, and deepening internal divisions reveal the true face of their defeat."

Winning the "War of Narratives"

Velayati warned that despite their clear military and strategic failure, the enemies are attempting to present a "fabricated image of victory" through the distortion of reality and a "war of narratives." He concluded his message by stressing the necessity of national unity and conscious following of the Supreme Leader’s guidance to continue the path of dignity and the realization of a "New Islamic Civilization."
