Tehran - BORNA - Ali Larijani stated on Friday that the recent rhetoric from Washington and Tel Aviv has fully exposed the hidden agenda behind the unrest. In a decisive message shared on the social media platform X, the Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council addressed the nature of the protests and the consequences of foreign meddling.
"With the statements by Israeli officials and Donald Trump, what has been going on behind the scenes is now clear," Larijani noted. He further clarified the government's perspective on the situation, stating: "We distinguish between the stance of the protesting shopkeepers and the actions of disruptive actors."
Directly addressing the U.S. President’s recent threats, Larijani warned of a severe regional backlash. "Trump should know that U.S. interference in this internal matter would mean destabilizing the entire region and destroying America’s interests," he asserted.
Larijani concluded his statement with a direct appeal to the American public, placing the responsibility for potential escalations on the White House: "The American people should know — Trump started this adventurism. They should be mindful of their soldiers’ safety."
These remarks come in response to a threatening and interventionist message from the U.S. President, who claimed that the United States would be "ready to help" protesters if Iran responded with "violence."
