Pazandmehr Appoints as the President of Iran Motorcycling and Automobile Federation

Mohammad Reza Pazandmehr has been elected as the new president of the Motorcycling and Automobile Federation, securing a four-year term after receiving the votes from the general assembly.

Tehran - BORNA - The general assembly for the election of the president of the Iranian Motorcycling and Automobile Federation (MAFIRI) was held at the National Olympic Academy, presided over by Seyyed Mohammad Shervin Asbaghian, deputy of sport minister.

From 48 votes cast by the assembly members, Mohammad Reza Pazandmehr received 28 votes, electing him as the federation's new president.

The approved candidates for the presidency included Siamak Amirkhizi, Mohammad Reza Pazandmehr, Ebrahim Javanmardi, Amir Zandi, Hamed Najafi, and Mehran Hemmatian.

Before the assembly, Ebrahim Javanmardi formally withdrew his candidacy in writing, and Hamed Najafi's absence from the assembly was considered a withdrawal.

Consequently, the voting process proceeded among Siamak Amirkhizi, Mohammad Reza Pazandmehr, Amir Zandi, and Mehran Hemmatian.

The results showed Mehran Hemmatian with 18 votes and Amir Zandi with 2 votes.

Ultimately, the assembly members entrusted Mohammad Reza Pazandmehr with the leadership for the next four years.
