Tehran - BORNA - The Iranian squad, currently holding a training camp in Doha in preparation for the 2025 FIVB Volleyball World Championship, faced Qatar on Tuesday night, September 2. The match concluded with each side winning two sets apiece.

Iranian setter Amin Esmaeilnezhad, who injured his ankle in the previous game against Qatar, remained sidelined and continues treatment.
During their Qatar camp, the Iranian team played three friendly matches—defeating Egypt once, and recording one win and one draw against Qatar. The squad will depart for the Philippines on Friday, September 5, where the World Championship will be held.
Ahead of the tournament, Iran will play two additional preparation matches against Slovenia and Germany. The 2025 FIVB Volleyball World Championship begins on September 12, with Iran grouped alongside the Philippines, Egypt, and Tunisia.
