Al Mayadeen: IAEA Discussion on Iran Postponed to Wednesday
Al Mayadeen’s correspondent in Vienna reported on Tuesday that the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has postponed its scheduled discussion on Iran’s nuclear file until Wednesday.

Tehran - BORNA - According to the Lebanese network, the agenda item regarding Iran will now be pursued tomorrow at the Agency’s headquarters.

Earlier, Laurence Norman of the Wall Street Journal reported on Sunday evening that progress had been made in the ongoing negotiations between Iran and the IAEA. On Monday night, he also suggested that Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi might meet with IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi on Tuesday.

In recent days, Egypt’s Foreign Minister has held a series of contacts with both Araghchi and Grossi. The Iranian foreign minister arrived in Cairo on Tuesday morning for meetings with senior Egyptian officials.

Grossi, speaking at a press conference in Vienna, noted that the UN nuclear watchdog’s talks with Iran were “moving in the right direction” and called for the resumption of full inspections in the country.
