Araghchi to Grossi: Iran Rejects Political Actions and Unfair Pressure
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi told IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi that Iran will not accept political maneuvers or unfair pressure in its nuclear file, stressing that cooperation with the Agency must remain strictly technical.

Tehran - BORNA - Grossi held a phone conversation with Araghchi on Friday, during which the two sides discussed the latest status of the Cairo agreement between Iran and the Agency, the issue of snapback sanctions, and the draft resolution on extending sanctions relief at the UN Security Council.

In the call, the Iranian foreign minister criticized the politicization of the IAEA Board of Governors’ sessions, underlining that Iran’s cooperation with the Agency is entirely technical and within international regulations.

Araghchi further noted that as a responsible state, Iran has always pursued diplomacy and technical cooperation to resolve issues related to its nuclear program, while rejecting any political or unfair measures that could escalate tensions.
