Iran Rout Bangladesh 12–0 in Asian Futsal Cup Qualifier
Iran’s national futsal team launched its Asian Cup qualifying campaign in emphatic fashion, overwhelming Bangladesh 12–0 in Manila on Saturday.

Tehran - BORNA - The 14-time Asian champions needed nearly eight minutes to break through, but once Hossein Sabzi fired the opener, the floodgates opened. By halftime, Iran led 6–0 thanks to a brace from captain Hossein Tayebi and strikes from Mohammad-Hossein Bazyar, Masoud Yousef and Behrouz Azimi.

Coach Vahid Shamsaei rotated heavily in the second half, yet Iran’s dominance only grew. Bazyar added his second of the day before Ali Khalilvand and goalkeeper Saeed Momeni both found the net with long-range efforts. Tayebi, Mehdi Karimi and Amirhossein Gholami completed the rout to seal Iran’s biggest win of the qualifying stage so far.

The result underscores Iran’s ambitions to reclaim continental supremacy, with Shamsaei’s side looking sharp and clinical from the opening whistle.

Iran faces the United Arab Emirates on Monday before concluding its group-stage fixtures against Malaysia on Wednesday.
