Pezeshkian, Macron Meet on UNGA Sidelines
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and French President Emmanuel Macron held talks on Wednesday morning, September 24, on the sidelines of the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
Tehran - BORNA - The meeting took place ahead of the day’s formal sessions, providing an opportunity for the two leaders to exchange views amid the ongoing global focus on peace and security.
The UN General Assembly — one of the six principal organs of the United Nations — is convening its 80th session from September 21 to 27 in New York, with leaders and delegations from all 193 member states in attendance. This year’s session is being held under the theme: “Better Together: 80 Years and Beyond for Peace, Development and Human Rights.”
