Iranian president: West's mistrust in Iran stems from Israeli propaganda
Iran’s president told Norway’s prime minister that Tehran’s nuclear program is peaceful, adding that the Westerners' mistrust comes from misunderstandings and Israeli propaganda.

Tehran - BORNA - Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian met with Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre in New York on Wednesday night, stressing that Tehran, based on its ideological principles and clear political stance, has never sought nuclear weapons and never will.

He said Western skepticism toward Iran’s peaceful nuclear program is rooted in misunderstandings, partly fueled by false propaganda from the Zionist regime.

The President warned that “if the snapback mechanism is triggered, dialogue will no longer have any meaning,” adding that Western countries must demonstrate their commitment to their obligations for any agreement. He underlined that the current situation is the result of the West’s failure to honor its commitments.

Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre, for his part, stressed that Western governments are determined to resolve the issues, saying, “We must seek solutions for understanding and addressing concerns; in this way, it will be possible to prevent the activation of the snapback mechanism.”
