Iran's Oil Minister: Seven-Year Record in Oil Production Broken
Iran’s Oil Minister announced that the country has achieved its highest oil production level in seven years, thanks to extensive field operations and the partial commissioning of the Azadegan oil field.

Tehran - BORNA - Minister Mohsen Paknejad stated: “We have succeeded in breaking the record of oil production over the past seven years.”

He explained that the achievement was made possible through a combination of infield drilling, well repairs, and improvements to surface facilities, carried out by technical teams across Iran’s major oil fields.

Paknejad further noted that part of the crude oil processing capacity at the Azadegan field, one of Iran’s largest oil projects, has also been brought into operation. This, he emphasized, has significantly boosted national production capacity and helped set the new seven-year record.

The minister underscored that such advances reflect Iran’s determination to expand its energy sector despite external pressures, highlighting that careful planning and the use of domestic expertise have been key to this milestone.
