Explosion in Kabul leaves 40 killed, injured
Tehran - BORNA - Media reported on Wednesday afternoon an explosion and fire in Kabul city.
Sources told local media in Afghanistan that explosions occurred in District 15 of Kabul city in the area of Fourth Street Taimani and the Forty-Meter Street of the Airport Square.
Some residents of Kabul said that this explosion was caused by rocket attacks.
A source in Kabul city claimed that this explosion occurred simultaneously with the patrolling of a drone in the skies of Kabul.
Hours later, the public relations department of the Emergency Hospital in Kabul announced that 40 people, including five dead, were transferred to the hospital following the explosion.
The hospital's public relations also said in a statement that the dead and injured included women and children.
It also added that 10 of the injured were in critical condition.
