Iran urges IAEA chief to avoid baseless remarks on nuclear issue
Iran’s Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Esmail Baghaei on Thursday called on Rafael Grossi, Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), to refrain from making baseless remarks about Iran’s nuclear program, saying his comments have paved the way for U.S.-Israeli aggression against the country.

Tehran - BORNA - Baghaei emphasized that Grossi is fully aware of the peaceful nature of Iran’s nuclear activities.

Speaking to Al Jazeera, the Iranian spokesperson said, “The catastrophic consequences of Mr. Grossi’s statements have created conditions that enabled U.S.-Israeli aggression against Iran. He must stop making groundless remarks regarding our nuclear case.”

The IAEA chief on Wednesday claimed that while Iran is not currently enriching uranium at high levels, the agency has recently observed new movements at some of Iran’s nuclear sites.

Baghaei reiterated that Iran’s nuclear program remains entirely peaceful and that politically motivated comments by international officials only serve to escalate tensions rather than promote cooperation.
