Qatar: We Seek an Agreement Between Tehran and Washington
The Prime Minister of Qatar, stating that "Doha does not want an arms race in the region," emphasized the necessity of achieving an agreement between Iran and the United States.

Tehran - BORNA - Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, in an interview with an American media outlet, addressed criticism regarding Doha's relations with Tehran: "Iran is our neighbor, and they are just a few hundred kilometers away from us. We share the world’s largest gas field with Iran. Iran is in our region, and we must deal with them."

In his conversation with CNN, he stated: "We want to see Iran progress, develop, and succeed. We certainly do not want an arms race in the region. We do not want a nuclear competition in the region, and that is why we have always supported diplomacy and want Iran and the United States to reach an agreement and for Iran's nuclear program to be under international supervision to guarantee that its activities are peaceful."

Al Thani noted: "This is our responsibility, and that is why Qatar is working to resolve this issue and is ready to assist with it."
