Araghchi: Any Talks with US Will Only Be About the Nuclear File
Tehran - BORNA - Seyyed Abbas Araghchi, responding to a question about the recent trip of the Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs to Oman, stated: "This visit was for periodic political dialogue, which I believe is held every six months in Iran and Oman."
Araghchi addressed a question regarding the US raising the issue of Iran's missile program, recalling: "The missile and regional issues have always been raised, and our position on them is always clear. If, by chance, negotiations were to take shape, they would only be in the nuclear field."
The Foreign Minister also commented on the two French nationals imprisoned in Iran: "They had been convicted as spies, and the Judiciary announced last night that they were granted Islamic mercy (clemency). Our citizen, Ms. Esfandiari, has also been released and is at the Iranian Embassy. God willing, once she completes the necessary procedures, she will return."
