During the phone call, Iran's Foreign Minister expressed concern over the continued tensions between the two neighboring Muslim countries, Pakistan and Afghanistan, and declared the readiness of the Islamic Republic of Iran to provide any assistance and consultation to reduce tension and establish peace between the two neighbors.
The Afghan Foreign Minister thanked the Islamic Republic of Iran for its goodwill, explained the current situation and the results of the talks between Afghanistan and Pakistan, and emphasized Afghanistan's commitment to observing the ceasefire and resolving issues through diplomacy and dialogue.
Iran's Foreign Minister also discussed the necessity of interaction and cooperation for securing Iran's water rights with the Afghan Foreign Minister.
