Larijani: Supreme National Security Council Will Remove All Economic Barriers Between Iran and Pakistan
Tehran - BORNA - Ali Larijani, the Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council (SNSC), who is currently visiting Pakistan, announced that the Council is committed to eliminating economic impediments between the two nations.
Larijani wrote in a message on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter): "I informed Pakistani officials that Dr. Pezeshkian (the President) has issued important directives after his visit to Pakistan to remove economic barriers between the two countries. The Supreme National Security Council will also remove any limitations in this regard."
Larijani detailed his comprehensive high-level discussions in Pakistan, underscoring Iran's commitment to strategic cooperation: "I discussed strategic cooperation between Iran and Pakistan with the President, Prime Minister, Army Chief, Speaker of the Assembly, National Security Advisor, and Foreign Minister of Pakistan, and I told them we recognize no limits to cooperation."
He stressed that greater action and pragmatism are needed to advance these goals: "Of course, we need more dynamism and pragmatism. It was decided that we would create serious mechanisms for follow-up."
Larijani concluded with an optimistic outlook on the future of bilateral ties: "With the horizon I see, the future of relations between the two countries will be bright."
