In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

His Excellency Dr. Abbas Aliabadi, Minister of Energy

Your Excellency’s, Ladies and Gentlemen

Distinguished Guests

I am pleased to welcome you to the National Day celebration of the State of Qatar; this day on which we recall the journey of our country since its founding by the founder, Sheikh Jassim bin Mohammed bin Thani - may God have mercy on him - and on which we recall the values that he established, of pride, independence, preservation of human dignity and national sovereignty, which are the values on which the State of Qatar was founded and which still form the essence of our modern state.

Your Excellencies, Ladies and Gentlemen,

the slogan of our celebration this year, taken from the words of His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Emir of the State of Qatar - may God protect him - “With you it rises... and from you it awaits,” represents the vision of the State of Qatar and the confidence of its wise leadership in the ability of man to innovate, and the importance of investing in the knowledge of generations. It carries within it a renewed call for robotic work and giving, thanks to a test of a firm conviction that building the nation is inseparable from building the human being.

Based on this vision, the State of Qatar has been able, over the past years, to consolidate its position on the world map through its economic renaissance, its strategic projects, its hosting of major sporting events, its hosting of peace negotiations, and its efforts to support peace and resolve regional and international crises through dialogue.

The State of Qatar, under the leadership and wisdom of His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Emir of the State of Qatar – may God protect him – and despite regional and global challenges, has been able to continue its approach of building bridges, promoting the principle of dialogue, and pursuing a foreign policy based on presenting diplomacy as a reliable and effective path to ending disputes and achieving the peace that the peoples of the region and the world aspire to.

Your Excellencies,

Ladies and Gentlemen;

The State of Qatar enjoys distinguished relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran; relations based on the principles of good neighborliness, mutual respect, and cooperation in all areas of common interest.

The success of the good relations between the two brotherly countries is a model that reflects the importance of constructive communication in driving development and prosperity in the entire region.

Based on the historical and popular ties that bind the two countries, the State of Qatar and the Islamic Republic of Iran recognize the importance of developing joint cooperation, particularly in the fields of trade, transportation, and energy, as well as economic and humanitarian partnerships, in a way that serves the interests of the two brotherly peoples and reflects the depth of the historical and cultural ties between the two countries.

Relations between the State of Qatar and the Islamic Republic of Iran were further strengthened during the official visit of His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Emir of the State of Qatar - may God protect him - to Tehran last February.

where His Highness and His Excellency President Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian held a meeting to discuss the development of bilateral relations in various fields. This visit provided a strong impetus to the cooperation between the two countries, reflecting a shared conviction of the need to expand areas of cooperation and deepen consultation on issues of common interest.

Your Excellencies,

Ladies and Gentlemen;

We believe that National Day celebrations provide an opportunity to strengthen the bonds of brotherhood and cooperation with sisterly and friendly countries, especially with the host country.

Thank you to everyone who participated and attended this celebration. In conclusion, I pray that God grants the State of Qatar, the Islamic Republic of Iran, and the Arab and Islamic nations continued security and prosperity, and that this National Day becomes an occasion to renew our resolve to work towards a more cooperative, prosperous, and growing future.

Peace, mercy, and blessings of God be upon you
