Baghaei: Iran closely watching developments in Yemen
Tehran - BORNA - Speaking to reporters on Wednesday, Esmaeil Baghaei stressed the importance of safeguarding Yemen’s unity and territorial integrity, urging restraint and dialogue to prevent further instability in the war-torn country.
He said Iran is closely following security developments in southern and eastern Yemen and has called on all factions to exercise self-restraint and resolve ongoing issues through dialogue, taking into account the interests of the Yemeni people and regional security considerations.
The spokesman also said Iran considers as unacceptable any action that could lead to increased instability in Yemen and insecurity in the region.
Baghaei added that Iran believes the only solution to the Yemen crisis lies in comprehensive dialogue, drawing and implementing a roadmap, and the formation of an inclusive government within the framework of Yemen’s territorial unity and integrity.
