Iran strongly condemns Israeli airstrikes on Lebanon
Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman condemned the Israeli airstrikes on Lebanon, calling for serious action by the international community, the United Nations to hold the regime to account for its war crimes.

Tehran - BORNA - In a statement on Tuesday, Esmail Beghaei, the spokesman for the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, strongly condemned the Israeli regime’s airstrikes on southern and Bekaa regions of Lebanon.

He expressed his condolences to the families of the martyrs and expressed solidarity with the government and people of Lebanon.

The Israeli regime in its continuation of the violation of the ceasefire agreement, has intensified airstrikes on various regions of Lebanon. In a new round of attacks on Lebanon, the regime targeted the town of “Al-Manara” in the Bekaa region located in eastern Lebanon. Israeli warplanes also bombed the town of “Anan” located in southern Lebanon and attacked the town of “Ain Al-Tina” in the southern region.

Highlighting the targeting of residential and industrial areas and urban infrastructure in Lebanon, the spokesman called these attacks a clear violation of the principles of the United Nations Charter and international law and emphasized the need to hold the Zionist regime accountable and punish it for committing war crimes.

Baghaei also pointed to the continuous violation of the ceasefire agreement by the Zionist regime for more than a year, stressing the responsibility of the guarantors of the ceasefire, calling for more serious mobilization by the international community, the United Nations, and regional countries to confront the aggression and warmongering of the occupying regime.
