Iran ambassador condemns Western double standards in dealing with protests
Tehran - BORNA - Assadollah Eshragh Jahromi told Austrian officials on Sunday that the Iranian riot police have exercised maximum restraint in dealing with “chaos-seekers” and some of these forces have even been killed or injured in clashes with the rioters.
He denounced the imposition of tougher sanctions on Iran and the inaction of Western nations in responding to protests in the United states, as an example of double standard approaches to protests across the world.
Eshragh Jahromi also referred to interventionist remarks by US President Donald Trump and Israeli officials with regard to the developments in Iran, saying the international community, including Austria, to condemn such hostile measures against a sovereign member of the United Nations.
