Araghchi: Enrichment is Our Inalienable Right; Missiles are Never Up for Negotiation

Tehran - BORNA - Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi, in an interview with Al Jazeera, noted that the negotiations with Washington were indirect and strictly limited to the nuclear issue.

"Enrichment is our inalienable right and must continue; even through bombardment, they were unable to destroy our capabilities," Araghchi emphasized. "We are prepared to reach a reassuring agreement regarding enrichment."

The Iranian Foreign Minister stated categorically: "Missiles are never up for negotiation because they are a matter of defense."

He continued: "The negotiation process must be free from any threats or pressure, and we hope to see this approach reflected in U.S. policy." According to Araghchi, trust must be built so that genuine negotiations can take place to achieve a fair outcome based on mutual interests.

Araghchi further noted that Washington backed down following previous military strikes and returned to the negotiating table. He concluded: "Iran’s nuclear file will only be resolved through negotiations."
