Iran Condemns Israel’s Continued Aggression Against Lebanon
Tehran - BORNA - Esmaeil Baghaei denounced the latest crimes involving the dispersal of hazardous toxic substances over agricultural lands in southern Lebanon.
The spokesperson pointed to thousands of ceasefire violations since November 2025, which have resulted in the deaths and injuries of hundreds of Lebanese citizens and caused extensive damage to public infrastructure.
Baghaei stated: "Undoubtedly, the Israeli regime’s use of toxic and chemical substances against agricultural lands is an unprecedented 'war crime.' By destroying the environment and endangering the health of Lebanese citizens, the regime is targeting the livelihoods and daily lives of the people."
He further emphasized that these actions necessitate immediate intervention by the United Nations and relevant specialized bodies to hold the occupying regime accountable.
Baghaei also criticized the approach of the ceasefire guarantors regarding the crimes committed by the Israeli regime. He noted: "Both the United States, as the primary supporter of the Israeli regime, and France, due to their continued inaction and appeasement in the face of flagrant ceasefire violations, are considered accomplices in these crimes."
The Iranian spokesperson concluded by stating that these nations must be held accountable for the consequences and impacts of the atrocities being committed.
