Iranian Diplomat Holds Talks with Armenian President on National Day
Tehran - BORNA - During the meeting, held in what was described as a cordial atmosphere, President Khachaturyan extended congratulations to the ambassador on behalf of himself and the people of Armenia on the anniversary of the Islamic Revolution. He referred to the longstanding and friendly ties between the two countries and described the recent trajectory of relations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Republic of Armenia as notable.
Khachaturyan said the firm determination of officials in both countries to elevate bilateral ties to the level of a strategic partnership reflects the tangible and significant growth in cooperation in recent years.
For his part, Ambassador Shirgholami thanked the Armenian side for its congratulations and highlighted various dimensions of bilateral cooperation. He noted that the longstanding spirit of genuine brotherhood between the two nations has further strengthened the resolve of their respective officials to expand bilateral engagement.
The two sides also exchanged views on plans to further develop relations in 2026 and expressed hope that bilateral ties would expand further in the year ahead.
