Shamkhani: Iran’s Missile Capabilities Are Non-Negotiable
The Secretary of Iran’s Supreme Defense Council emphasized that the core components of the country’s defense power will not be included in any negotiations, stating that dialogue can only yield results if pursued realistically and on the basis of mutual respect.

Tehran - BORNA - Ali Shamkhani, the Secretary of the Supreme Defense Council of Iran, clarified in an interview with the Al-Araby Al-Jadeed newspaper that the missile capabilities of the Islamic Republic of Iran are not a subject for negotiation and will not be raised within any framework for discussion. He noted that negotiations have their own specific mechanisms and paths, asserting that progress is only possible if the process is approached with a realistic outlook and within an environment rooted in mutual respect.

Shamkhani further emphasized that, naturally, the fundamental defense components of any nation remain outside the scope of political negotiations. He concluded by stating that these strategic assets are not matters for diplomatic bargaining, reaffirming Iran's stance on maintaining its deterrent capabilities while engaging in diplomatic processes.
