Reuters: Second Round of Iran-US Talks Set for Tuesday in Geneva
Tehran - BORNA - According to Reuters, citing a U.S. official and three knowledgeable sources, an American delegation—including Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner—is slated to meet with Iranian officials in Geneva, Switzerland, on Tuesday.
Representatives from Oman will also participate in this round of talks as mediators.
In a related report, Axios stated that Ali Larijani has received a message from the United States via Oman.
Barak Ravid, a journalist for the news outlet, quoted a U.S. official saying that earlier this week, Steve Witkoff held discussions with the Omani Foreign Minister, conveying several messages regarding nuclear negotiations to be passed on to the Iranian side.
Following his call with Witkoff, the Omani Foreign Minister reportedly prepared a document and presented it to Ali Larijani, the Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, during his visit to Muscat last Tuesday.
The first round of direct talks between Iran and the United States was held on February 6 in Oman.
