U.S. President Donald Trump suggested that Venezuelan Vice President Delcy Rodríguez is under pressure to maintain her public support for Nicolás Maduro’s legitimacy.
Tehran - BORNA - President Donald Trump commented on the recent stance taken by Caracas officials, stating: "I think we have a very good relationship. I think Rodriguez probably has to say that. My opinion is that maybe she has to say it."
The news outlet The Hill noted in its report that Rodríguez recently reaffirmed that Maduro remains the legitimate president of Venezuela.
In an interview with NBC, the high-ranking official from Caracas emphasized: "Yes, I can tell you that Nicolás Maduro is the legal president. I am telling you this as the legislator that I am. Both Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores, are innocent."
