Iran Defeats Egypt in Straight Sets at U19 Volleyball World Championship
Tehran – BORNA – Iran’s U19 national volleyball team secured a commanding 3-0 victory over Egypt in the group stage of the 2025 FIVB Boys’ U19 World Championship held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
The 19th edition of the FIVB Boys' U19 World Championship kicked off on Thursday, July 24, with 24 teams competing in the Uzbek capital.
In their fourth group-stage match on Monday, July 28, Iran overcame Egypt in straight sets:

Iran is competing in Group C alongside Spain, Poland, Italy, Egypt, and Tunisia.
Under the leadership of head coach Adel Gholami, the Iranian team suffered a loss in their opening match against Spain but rebounded with wins over Poland and Tunisia. Today’s victory over Egypt marked their third win in the tournament.
Iran will face Italy in their final group-stage match on Tuesday, July 29.
