Grossi and Araghchi Hold Phone Talks on Iran–U.S. Negotiations
Rafael Grossi, Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), held a telephone conversation with Seyed Abbas Araghchi, Iran’s Foreign Minister, to discuss the latest developments related to the ongoing indirect negotiations between Iran and the United States.

Tehran - BORNA - The call took place on Saturday, during which the two sides exchanged views on the current state of indirect talks between Tehran and Washington.

Both parties emphasized the importance of constructive engagement and utilizing the path of dialogue to advance the negotiation process and achieve a sustainable understanding.

Earlier, in an interview with Fox News, Grossi underlined the IAEA’s role in the talks between Iran and the United States, stating: “We have been involved in the negotiations and have sought to provide technical opinions on the issues under discussion — including what is expected from the special envoy Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, as well as what the Iranians are saying.”

He also stressed that “continuous interactions” are ongoing and noted that the parties understand the “sense of urgency” surrounding the process.
