Witkoff Arrives in Geneva
Tehran - BORNA - According to RIA Novosti, citing data from the Automatic Dependent Surveillance–Broadcast (ADS-B) system on Thursday, the plane transporting Steve Witkoff, special envoy of Donald Trump, landed in Geneva, the venue for the third round of Iran–U.S. nuclear talks. He is expected to meet with Rustem Umerov, Secretary of Ukraine’s National Security and Defense Council, as well as Iranian representatives.
The aircraft, a Bombardier Global 7500, reportedly touched down at Geneva Airport at approximately 08:05 a.m. Moscow time.
Earlier, Witkoff had said that he and Jared Kushner, the U.S. president’s son-in-law, planned to meet Umerov in Geneva and indicated that they would also hold talks with Iranian representatives there on Thursday.
The third round of nuclear negotiations between Iran and the United States is scheduled to take place today in Geneva.
