Third Round of Iran–U.S. Talks Begins in Geneva
The third round of indirect nuclear negotiations between Iran and the United States, mediated by Oman, began on Thursday in Geneva at the Omani Embassy.

Tehran - BORNA - The negotiating delegations arrived Thursday morning at the residence of the Omani ambassador in Geneva, continuing discussions that had started the previous night with bilateral consultations.

Oman’s Foreign Minister, Badr al-Busaidi, signaled optimism when asked by reporters whether he was hopeful about the outcome of the talks, responding with a gesture of affirmation as he headed to the venue.

This marks the third round of indirect talks between Tehran and Washington under Omani mediation.

The Iranian delegation is headed by Seyed Abbas Araghchi, Iran’s Foreign Minister, while the U.S. side is led by Steve Witkoff, special envoy of Donald Trump.

Notably, Araghchi met with his Omani counterpart on Wednesday night upon arriving in Geneva and handed over Iran’s proposed framework—based on Tehran’s stated principles for continuing the negotiations—to be conveyed to the U.S. side.
