Shamkhani: Immediate Agreement Possible
The Supreme National Security Council representative, Ali Shamkhani, stated that if the main issue in the negotiations is Iran’s non-production of nuclear weapons, an immediate agreement is within reach. He emphasized that Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araqchi has full support and the necessary authority to finalize such an agreement.
Tehran - BORNA - Shamkhani wrote on his X (formerly Twitter) account: "If the main issue of the negotiations is Iran’s non-production of nuclear weapons, this aligns with the Leader’s fatwa and Iran’s defense doctrine, and an immediate agreement is possible. Dr. Araqchi has full support and authority for this agreement."
Iranian and U.S. nuclear talks began at 10 a.m. local time in a building belonging to the Omani Embassy in Geneva.
