Qalibaf: We Will Strike You So Hard That You Will Beg for Mercy
The Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, stressed that “we will settle the score with the United States and Israel,” stating that with the formation of a Leadership Council, unimaginable authority and cohesion will take shape among officials and the country’s defensive forces.

Tehran - BORNA - Ghalibaf said in a televised message this morning, referring to the martyrdom of the Leader of the Revolution, that when “dear Haj Qassem” was martyred, he believed he was experiencing the bitterest days of his life and felt that the world had come to an end. “I never imagined I would face days more bitter than that,” he said, adding that he wished there had been time to speak about the depth and greatness of this divine and devoted man.

He described the slain Leader as the second great teacher of the new century after the founder of the Revolution, saying that although he cannot imagine life without him, their belief has always been that he was a complete soldier of the Awaited Imam, and that serving him meant serving Imam Mahdi. “This country belongs to Imam Mahdi,” he said, emphasizing that they have never doubted this conviction.

Citing Verse 144 of Surah Al-Imran regarding the Prophet Muhammad, Ghalibaf said that believers must not abandon their path if a leader dies or is killed. “Our answer is: God forbid. We will continue the path of our great Imam and our martyred Imam with steadfastness,” he declared.

He stated that the country’s military and administrative structure has moved beyond individual-centered leadership, pointing to recent operations and saying that the scale and continuity of operations against U.S. and Israeli targets have surprised military experts. He added that preparations had been made for all scenarios, “even for the time after the martyrdom of dear Imam Khamenei.”

Referring to the formation of a Leadership Council, he said it would create unprecedented unity and strength among officials, the armed forces, and the people. “Do not doubt that our defensive forces have used only part of their capabilities. We will settle accounts with the Americans and the Israelis,” he said.

Addressing Benjamin Netanyahu and Donald Trump directly, Ghalibaf said: “I say clearly and explicitly to Trump and Netanyahu, these two filthy criminals, and all their agents: you have crossed our red line and you must pay the price.” He described the confrontation as not merely an existential war but “suppressed anger whose time for final revenge has arrived.”

“We will, backed by tens of millions of loyal Iranians and with confidence in the special blessings of the Awaited Imam, strike you with such devastating blows that you yourselves will begin to beg,” he said, adding that what he called their “fantastical dreams” would not last more than a few days.

He also addressed the Iranian people, including critics of the government, acknowledging their legitimate grievances but urging them not to “play on the enemies’ field.” “If you do not accept us, you still love Iran,” he said, arguing that no rational person would side with foreign aggressors.

Finally, addressing the martyred Leader, Ghalibaf said that based on Quranic teachings, martyrs are alive and sustained by God, and that he believes they continue to influence events. “We promise you, to the great Khomeini and to all martyrs, that we will not allow Islamic Iran to be devoured,” he said, adding that they will not allow the hopes of hundreds of millions of free people to be extinguished, citing the Quranic verse promising divine victory and imminent triumph.
