Ayatollah Arafi Appointed as Guardian Council Jurist Member in the Leadership Council

Tehran - BORNA - Mohsen Dehnavi, spokesperson of the Expediency Discernment Council, wrote on his X (formerly Twitter) account:

“According to Article 111 of the Constitution, until a new Supreme Leader is appointed, a temporary Leadership Council, consisting of the President, the Head of the Judiciary, and one jurist from the Guardian Council, is formed.

The Expediency Discernment Council has selected Ayatollah Arafi as the jurist member of this council to ensure uninterrupted leadership, while the Assembly of Experts will promptly appoint the permanent Supreme Leader.”
