Cyprus Says It Was Not Targeted by Iranian Missile
Following statements by British defense sources claiming that a missile had been launched from Iran toward Cyprus, Cypriot authorities have rejected the report. Nikos Christodoulides
Tehran - BORNA - Nikos Christodoulides, President of Cyprus, said that Keir Starmer confirmed to him in a phone call “clearly and without any ambiguity that Cyprus was not targeted by any missile.”
A spokesperson for the Cypriot government had earlier stated that no missile had been fired toward the country and that there were no indications of any threat against it.
Earlier, British defense sources had claimed that two Iranian missiles were launched toward Cyprus, where British military bases are located.
