Larijani: Iran Is Prepared for a Prolonged War

Tehran - BORNA - Ali Larijani, Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran, wrote in a message on X: “Just as over the past 300 years Iran has not initiated any war, and our brave armed forces have carried out no attack except in defense, we will resolutely defend ourselves and our six-thousand-year-old civilization regardless of the costs, and we will make the enemies regret their miscalculations.”

He added: “Iran is prepared for a prolonged war. Unlike the readiness of America.”

It is noteworthy that U.S. military and political officials had repeatedly warned Donald Trump prior to the U.S. and Israeli attack on Iran about the lack of sufficient equipment for a long war.

It appears that Trump did not expect a powerful, extensive, and comprehensive Iranian response across the region against American positions and targets, and is seeking an end to the war.

At the same time, Iranian officials have repeatedly stated at various levels that Iran has not initiated any war, but in the event of aggression against the country, the end of it will not be in the hands of the aggressors.
